Parents
We see children and young people for assessment and therapy for a wide range of speech, language and communication needs. We see toddlers who aren’t talking up to young adults aged 25 who are still experiencing difficulties. We see children and young people who need support including but not limited to, those with diagnoses of:
- Autism
- Developmental language disorder
- Selective mutism
- Speech delay and disorder
- Language delay
- Down syndrome
- Auditory processing disorder
- Hearing impairment
- Disfluency
- Voice issues
- Cerebral palsy
We work to make sure that the child’s strengths are optimised and that the environment is as conducive to their needs as possible. There is, for example. nothing wrong with being autistic, the difficulties arise from the fact that the world is set up for neuro-typicals.
